Below is a database of music that I (aka Stephen McLeod aka allmyfriendsaresynths) have created over the last few years. This resource is shared publicly for independent artists, film-makers, vloggers, and other creative folks to use in their projects.
These tracks are completely free to use for non-commercial work - provided that you include a credit to ‘Stephen McLeod aka allmyfriendsaresynths’ and link back to musiclibrary.allmyfriendsaresynths.com. Please note that usage for political works is not permitted without prior permission. Outside of that exception, this material is governed by and released under a Creative Commons CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license. ‘Non-commercial’ use will generally include incidental revenue - meaning that you are fine to use these tracks on your monetised YouTube videos, so long as the primary purpose isn’t commercial. In other words: Including the music as the background for your vlog? Fine. Uploading a video with the music purely to generate AdSense cash? Not fine.
Please note that these tracks may use uncleared samples, and so are offered without any guarantee or warranty whatsoever and with absolutely no acceptance of liability. For anything. At all. Caveat Emptor. All other rights reserved.
If you’d like to share what you’ve done, feel free to drop me a note as I’d love to hear - though that isn’t required.
Columns 1 and 2 provide information about the various names or working titles that I refer to these tracks by.
Column 3 includes details on the ‘feel’ or ‘genre’ of the track.
The ‘Audio’ column provides a direct link that you can use to preview and download the various songs. These are largely ‘final’ masters, and mostly high quality WAV in format, though there may be the odd MP3 in there.
The fourth column contains details on some of the main instruments, VSTs, and bits of gear that were used in the production of the track.
The other columns are largely for my own reference, and include details on whether or not a track is ‘finished’, has been released, and if so under what artist/album name, etc.
You can filter the various columns to find what you are looking for by using the ‘filter’ option in the top right.

So long as you meet the requirements above, you can filter through the table below, find things you like… download the files and whack them in your YouTube video or home movie. Make sure you add the appropriate credit, and away you go. It’s that simple. Any additional requirements, requests or alterations (such as providing stems, signing release forms, re-masters, etc) will be considered as commissions and subject to a fee. If you are interested in that, drop a note to [email protected] and I’ll see what we can work out.
Please note that this page is regularly being updated, but exists in a constant state of unfinished-ness - at the mercy of my whims. As a result, everything is subject to change/disappearance at any time, without notice. Ephemeral, if you will.
